The United Arab Emirates is truly an oasis of humanity, as the Emirates, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has become one of the most important pioneering countries in the field of humanitarian support and charitable work, while the President of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, confirmed today, Thursday, 18 August 2022, on the UAE’s keenness to uphold universal humanitarian principles.
Sheikh Hamdan also indicated that the UAE, under the leadership of Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is keen to support charitable works and provide humanitarian support and in line with the humanitarian principles that came for the good and happiness of man, his right to life and a decent life, and to abide by its humanitarian responsibilities to alleviate human suffering.
On the occasion of the International Day for Humanitarian Action, which falls tomorrow, Friday, August 19, the UAE has strengthened its humanitarian efforts and development initiatives around the world thanks to the support of the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and is moving forward in the same approach it has planned to preserve human dignity. .
It is worth noting that the legacy that the UAE has achieved in this regard and the position it has assumed impose on it a greater commitment to humanitarian issues. According to statistics, the UAE is one of the largest donors of humanitarian aid around the world.
It assumes a pivotal role in improving the quality of life and warding off risks from the vulnerable.”
He praised the country's permanent initiatives to reduce poverty, hunger, disease, epidemics and malnutrition, and confront the repercussions of climate change, in addition to its initiatives to reduce the burden of suffering in less developed countries, by providing the basic life requirements for those who deserve it without discrimination of gender, color or race.
